During this time, he set up an LLP which primarily acted as consultants to technology companies seeking to develop personalised medical support. After 10 years he moved to a smaller practice with just one GP and 4,500 patients.

Since moving to the village he, with his son-in-law, has completed the conversion of a barn into a 4-bed dwelling. Mike is an active member of the Parish Hall committee supporting the various events.

At the Community Shop AMM in 2023, Mike offered support in helping with grant applications at which point he was co-opted onto the committee.

Mike moved into the village from Hampshire in 2020 having retired from a GP Practice Manager role. He has a background in Retail Management. Spent 15 years in retail foreign exchange with responsibility for a £12 million annual turnover.

Then recruited by a national childrens’ charity to develop their retail operations in the South of England. This role, performed for 15 years, required identifying potential properties then refitting, opening and overseeing their continued operation.

He then moved into GP practice management, taking on a practice with 8 GPs and 15,000 patients.
